Hip Luxation

Learn more about our hip luxation service below.

Hip Luxation (UTILIZING TOGGLE TECHNIQUE)

Hip luxation occurs when the head of the femur becomes displaced from the acetabular socket. This type of displacement is commonly caused by trauma. However, joint deterioration or hip dysplasia can also contribute. This condition can be quite painful for your pet which can severely impact leg function and overall movement.

Depending on the severity of luxation, further diagnostics may be required to ensure their internal body functions haven’t been negatively impacted.
